And whenever Parker lands on the street or flies over it low enough, we have the opportunity to admire how alive New York is. Many games have the problem of dead crowds that don’t react well to what’s going on around them. In Spider-Man (despite minor bugs), the crowd eagerly welcomes our hero, gets scared when he suddenly falls, or talks to him and asks him for a high five. Especially since the tasks are made easier by the fast travel option (if we don’t want to fly across the city). Even in it, the creators did not give up the Spider-Man sense of humor – the player then watches a short scene of our charming spider riding the subway. Sometimes someone will fall asleep on his shoulder, other times he will watch Spider-Man use his cell phone.

We will try to write about it without revealing the plot… In Marvel’s Spider-Man, relationships are included as a very important element of the game. The relationships between specific characters are well conveyed – for example, Peter’s concern for his aunt is genuine because it is visible in actions, not just words.
But we also have a male-female thread here, which is not saccharine (nothing like they lived happily ever after). Problems in a strange, yet close relationship and attempts to repair the past are shown. In all this we can see the uncertainty of our heroes and the fear of failure in maintaining good and honest relations.
Will Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man finally be named game of the year? We don’t know that yet, but if it happens, it won’t be surprising. This is a really good title!
