The relationships between specific characters are well conveyed – for example, Peter’s concern for his aunt is genuine because it is visible in actions, not just words.

But we also have a male-female thread here, which is not saccharine (nothing like they lived happily ever after). Problems in a strange, yet close relationship and attempts to repair the past are shown. In all this we can see the uncertainty of our heroes and the fear of failure in maintaining good and honest relations.

Will Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man finally be named game of the year? We don’t know that yet, but if it happens, it won’t be surprising. This is a really good title!
